When should I schedule my move?
We work on first come first serve basis. We recommend that you book 10-14 days in advance. Since it all depends on availability, we are able to do same/next day moves as well. Please check with us.
Do you charge extra for weekend moves?
No we do not; we have same rates seven days a week. However weekends get booked quickly.
How much does a move cost?
This is a question that has no definite answer. Since every move is different, local moves are charged by the hour. The total amount is calculated based on the number of movers and hours worked.
Where do you operate?
E-Z Moving provides only local moving services in Utah.
When does the clock start on the day of our move?
We don’t charge for travel time in Salt Lake County; the time starts at your door when the crew arrives and ends at your door when the crew completes the job. The travel time applies if the crew travels out of Salt Lake City.
Do you move furniture only or can you pack too?
We provide full service; we can pack your belongings and provide moving/packing supplies too.
How do the movers protect my furniture?
We carry 70-80 moving blankets in each truck. Our movers wrap furniture with moving pads to protect from scratches and dents. There is no extra charge for moving pads.
Do you offer boxes and packing supplies?
Yes, we do offer moving boxes and supplies at extra costs. However, we carry wardrobe boxes in all our trucks that are free to use.
Is there anything that E-Z Moving does not transport?
We will not transport the following items: open liquids, jewelry, cash, other high value items, ammunition, propane tanks, guns, gasoline, chemical and flammable items, hazardous items, live plants and trees.
Are my belongings insured while they are being moved?
The hourly rates include Basic Liability Coverage at 60 cents per pound. For a full coverage you may check your homeowner’s and renter’s insurance policies. Another option is PAFInsurance.com.
When is payment due?
The payment is due upon receipt or completion of move unless other payment arrangements have been made prior to moving day.
What payments do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
Should I tip my movers?
It is completely up to you; our movers will not ask or hint for a tip. If you feel the moving crew worked hard and did a good job, then a tip is much appreciated.
